A task successfully reloads a document, but then it fails at distribution with the error "CQvXmlInterfaceRequestHandler - Catch: errId(-1). Ino(-1). Fno(98)" in the task logs.

Environment:

QlikView

Resolution

As a troubleshooting step:

  1. Delete the published document.
    1. If distributing to the UserDocuments folder defined in Setup > (Distribution Service) > General > Path, delete the user document (not the source document)
    2. If distributing to a specific folder as defined in the task itself (Status > Tasks > (Your Task) > Edit > Distribute > Distribute to folder), delete the file in that location
  2. Restart all Qlikview services (if you restart only the Distribution Service, this may not resolve the issue).

The Distribution Service is unable to complete the rename process. A frequent root cause to this is an active virus scan or backup locking the files. See QlikView Folder And Files To Exclude From Anti-Virus Scanning.

QlikView may also experience memory bottlenecks or read/write queues. Monitor QlikView Server performance as well as the performance of the file server.
