Unable to install Qlik Sense to a remote PostgreSQL database with FIPS enabledArticle Number: 000039759 | Last Modified: 2018/06/12
Due to the fact that the only persistence type possible in the June 2017 release and higher, this means that this issue will affect any RIM node on the June 2017 release or higher. Or any RIM node in Shared Persistence. As well as potentially Central nodes if the deployment architecture is using a standalone PostgreSQL instance to host Qlik Sense's Repository Database.
- Create a file in the same directory as the installer naming it the same name as the installer.config
- In the installer paste in this XML information:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <runtime> <enforceFIPSPolicy enabled="false" /> </runtime> </configuration>
- Save the file
- Re-run the installer
- Installation file name: Qlik_Sense_setup.exe
- Config file name: Qlik_Sense_setup.exe.config
