When connecting to a directory with the Generic LDAP connector it's sometimes desirable to use a different attribute for the Name attribute. For example, an Active Directory might have a more consistent name in the Display Name field. In some cases, changing this results in no Groups (or other objects like Email) being displayed/linked to your users.
This is usually caused by the Group objects in the directory not having the replaced attribute configured. For example, in an Active Directory Groups often do not have a Display Name configured. This will result in an empty Name field for those objects and Qlik Sense will automatically discard those objects.
The solution is to make sure that ALL objects that you want to load into Qlik Sense (including Groups) have a DisplayName, or whatever attribute you have configured to use as Name
