The Qlik Sense Desktop program window may open to small no allowing proper navigation and/or visualization of applications.

The problem does not occur when opening Qlik Sense Desktop from the browser. See Qlik Sense Desktop - Run in Browser - Did you know?

Environment:

Windows 10 does not always optimize the resolution setting for all programs, which can cause Qlik Sense to not be scaled correctly on high-resolution screens.

A global (system-wide) Windows 10 setting allows for the configuration of scaling.

To change the Scale and layout setting in the Windows display settings, do the following:

  1. Right-click the Windows Desktop are and go to Display Settings
  2. Choose Display in the left navigation panel in the window that opens
  3. Under Scale and layout, decrease the value of Change the size of text, apps, and other items. The recommended value is 150%.

Note that you may need to increase this depending on your resolution.

  4. This will enlarge the Qlik Sense program window, though it will do so with all others as well.

Notice that after this change, the size of your Desktop icons may decrease. You can easily enlarge them to resolve this problem. To so this, right-click the Windows desktop or press and hold Shift + F10, then click (or tap) on View, and click/tap on Large icons, Medium icons, or Small icons for the desired size.
