This article provides basic troubleshooting steps if you have issues with syncing users in AD in QlikSense
Symptoms may include:
- Users are not syned into Sense
- Active Directory related tasks are failing
- Sync is not started
- Sync in Idle status

Here are some steps you should follow to verify that you have the correct configuration of the LDAP setup
1. Verify that the services are run with the correct account
All services have to run under a dedicated account (except the QlikSense Repository Database Service which has to be run under Local System). This account is expected to be a domain account with access to the Active Directory/LDAP system.
2. Verify the connection with a third-party tool.
Using a 3rd party LDAP browser of your choice, make a connection from the server hosting Qlik Sense using the same credentials as the service account and an identical filter.
3. Does the service account have all the required privileges in the LDAP system?
If necessary, consult your Active Directory Administrator.
4. Is the filter correct?
If a filter was applied, remove the filter and connect without it.
