Since the Management Console queries all configured QlikView Directory Service Connector (DSC) connections, a duplicated connector will also duplicate the list of CALs assigned. The double or multiple assignments is misleading.
Reviewing all assigned Named User CAL (under System > Licenses > QlikView Server > Assigned CALs) or Document CALs (under Documents > User Documents > document.qvw > Document CALs) they appear doubled:
For example, initially, CALs assigned to document were 150 with dynamic CAL assignment but as you can see the above, because of the double up- CALs assigned went to 298.
Even though you try to remove the user entirely by using the manage users button, it does allow you to delete the user's connection.
Environment:
- QlikView Server all versions
Example of a wrong configuration:
The below configuration has a Directory Service Connector Cluster as well as a single Directory Service Connector. Both the cluster and individual DSC are pointed at the same Active Directory.
This means all CAL information will be duplicated.
1. DSC Cluster

Member 2 http://qlikviewapp:4730/DSC/service
2. DSC@qlikviewpub
Member 1 http://qlikviewpub:4730/DSC/Service
Picture 1. DSC Cluster
Picture 2. DSC@qlikviewpub
Resolution:
1. Remove one of groups (DSC@qlikviewpub)
2. Reconfigure or Move DSC@qlikviewpub (http://qlikviewpub:4730/DSC/Service ) to DSC Cluster
For example:
DSC Cluster
Member 1 http://qlikviewapp1:4730/DSC/Service
Member 2 http://qlikviewapp:4730/DSC/service
Member 3 http://qlikviewpub:4730/DSC/Service
DSC@qlikviewpub
Member 1 http://qlikviewpub:4730/DSC/Service
