QlikView 12: Embedded QlikView object or iFrame not working in SharePoint 2010 with Internet Explorer 11

Embedded QlikView object or iFrame are not working in SharePoint 2010 with Internet Explorer 11. It was working fine in QlikView 11.
This works in other browsers.

A javascript error such as 'Object doesn't support property or method 'addEventListener' or 'Qva is undefined' is displayed.

SharePoint 2010 by default inserts the following tag in the HTML code and forces Internet Explorer to run in compatibility mode:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8" />

This is due to the fact that some of the features in SharePoint 2010 do not work properly in Internet Explorer 11 Native mode or Edge.

There is no support for SharePoint 2010 in QlikView 12. Only SharePoint 2013/2016 are currently supported.
The reason for this is that the version of jQuery used in QlikView 12 requires Internet Explorer 11 (Native mode) to work properly.

Although SharePoint 2010 is not supported or tested with QlikView 12. It has been reported that this works fine when using Chrome, Firefox or switching off Internet Explorer compatibility mode.
