No UDC is required for a local user to log on to Qlik Sense. However, for the local user to be able to access apps, you need to allocate access. You can use professional access rules or analyzer access rules (user-based license) or user access rules or login access rules (token-based license) to allocate access. Alternatively, a local user can first log on to be recognized as a user, and then be allocated tokens.
Without Local network connector, local users can still authenticate and access the Qlik Sense system. They will automatically be captured and listed in the available users. If an assignment rule for professional or analyzer licenses or tokens has been set up, the assignment rule will pass out the access automatically.
If no rules were set up, the user can be managed manually after initially accessing the system. Environment:
Qlik Sense any version
1. Let a user authenticated and access to Hub.
2. Find the user listed in the Qlik Sense Management Console > Users menu
3. Allocate a professional/analyzer license or a token.
4. Repeat the step from 1 - 3 for each user.
We recommend using an assignment rule instead.
