Qlik Sense: "Data Profiling connection failed. Refresh your browser" in Add Data interface

When trying to add data in Hub, it shows "Data Profilling connection failed. Refresh your browser" error.
Applying Connection to the Qlik Sense engine failed for unspecified reasons randomly on the hub
does not help.
In the case it is permission related, another significant symptom is despite everything else appears to be working fine, Qlik Sense does not generate logs to the log folder.
The Service Account does not have sufficient permissions on local server even though it might be member of local Administrators Group.
1) Make sure that port 4949 is open between the Engine node and the Proxy node as stated in the documentation:
Also, on the Central Node firewall INBOUND rule ensure that these TCP ports are set to open (across domain/private/public).
2) Make sure the service account has sufficient permissions(read/write/create) to local server.
Being local Administrator does not necessarily have these permissions granted.
This step needs to be checked by System Administrator.
Setting permissions on the log folders, navigate to each folder one at a time.
Logged in as the Service Account (service account must be in administrators group)
Right click on the folder -> Properties -> Security Tab -> Advanced -> Bottom Left select (change permissions/enable inheritance) -> Check "Replace all child object permission entries from this object" -> Apply
C:\Program Files\Common Files\ Right-Click on Qlik folder
C:\Program Files\ Right-Click on Qlik folder
C:\ProgramData\ Right-Click on Qlik folder
x:\QlikShareFolder Right-Click on QlikShare folder
Do this on all nodes for the files that appear. Not all will appear on RIMS.
Once new logs can be confirmed, try again in Hub.
