Article Number: 000030532 | Last Modified: 2018/06/13
Description
The Impact of the Directory statement in the Include and Must_Include statements is different in QlikView 11 and in QlikView 12.
Cause
A conscious decision made in QlikView 12.
Resolution
In QlikView 11, when you use the Include or the Must_Include statements in the script, the file interpretation takes as reference the path where the QlikView document is located and a directory set by a Directory statement has no influence. In QlikView 12, a change has been made and when you use the Include or the Must_Include statements in the script, the file interpretation takes as reference the directory set by the Directory statement and the path where the QlikView document is located has no influence.
So lets the View document to be saved in 'C:' and the script looking like this : Directory 'C:\Temp1' $(Must_Include=Example.txt)
In QlikView 11, for the script to work the file Example.txt needs to be saved in 'C:', that is, where the QlikView document is saved. In QlikView 12, for the script to work the file Example.txt needs to be saved in 'C:\Temp1', that is, where the directory path is set.
