What is DirectAccess?
DirectAccess, also known as Unified Remote Access, is a VPN-like technology that provides intranet connectivity to client computers when they are connected to the Internet. Unlike many traditional VPN connections, which must be initiated and terminated by explicit user action, DirectAccess connections are designed to connect automatically as soon as the computer connects to the Internet.
DirectAccess establishes IPsec tunnels from the client to the DirectAccess server, and uses IPv6 to reach intranet resources or other DirectAccess clients.

Is DirectAccess supported with QlikView ?
We do not support specific VPN technologies with QlikView. What we can support is the underlying network technology (IPv4 or IPV6)
Direct Access should work through Ajax, since IPV6 is supported by QlikView WebServer.
Prior to QlikView 12.30 (November 2018), IPv6 is not supported with IE plugin or the Desktop client using "Open in Server..". See QlikView 11.20 and 12.00 to 12.20: IE-Plugin does not support IPv6
With QlikView 12.30 (November 2018) we have introduced full support for IPv6 and that has been tested and verified. As the VPN technology for Direct Access might depend on other factors, we cannot guarantee that Direct Access will work with QlikView Server, nor support its implementation.
