After upgrading successfully from Qlik Sense 2.0.X to 3.0 or later can cause some applications to show missing data missing data and/or empty chart errors.Environment:
Qlik Sense 2.0.x
Qlik Sense 3.0.x up to 3.2 SR 1
This is issue is a known defect supposed to be fixed in Qlik Sense 3.2.2.
The problem is that old documents (pre 2.1.0) may show this error when opened on a server/desktop with internal engine version that have more characters than 5. e.g. "12.0.0", or "4.11.0".
This will cause the migration for the variables to fail.
Information provided on this defect is given as is at the time of documenting. For up to date information, please review the most recent Release Notes, or contact support at support.qlik.com.
To workaround this issue you can simply reload your application and the variables will be loaded again.
A fix for this bug has been implemented in Qlik Sense 3.2 SR2 and forward.
