Using PerfMon (How to set up performance monitoring for QVS (perfmon)) and other tools could be a way to check the resource allocation, to see how much the QlikView Server is suffering because of the large transfer.
However, a quick solution that can be tested and that will usually prove immediately effective is to change the distribution of the document from "Distribute to QlikView Server" to "Distribute to Folder". This way the QVS won't have to take care of the transfer, which will be in the hands of the OS.
