When reloading a document which loads data from an https resource, the script log shows "The download of the specified resource has failed"

When reloading a document which loads data from an https resource, the script log shows a "General Script Error" and "The download of the specified resource has failed".

Here is an example piece of log:

17/12/2014 11:08:29.3843454	Information	17/12/2014 11:08:29:       Error: The download of the specified resource has failed.
17/12/2014 11:08:29.3843454	Information	17/12/2014 11:08:29:       General Script Error
17/12/2014 11:08:29.3843454	Information	17/12/2014 11:08:29:       Execution Failed
17/12/2014 11:08:29.3843454	Information	17/12/2014 11:08:29:      Execution finished.

Even though it is possible to reload the application with QlikView Desktop, the above error appears when reloading the document from QlikView Server (with or without Publisher).
 

On to the QlikView Server, log on as the account that runs the QlikView Distribution Service and:

1. Go to "Internet Options" in Internet Explorer.
2. Under the "Advanced" tab, uncheck "Do not save encrypted pages to disk"
