QMC: Search with '*' (star), meaning 'match of any character(s)' as wild card doesn't work

In QlikView Management Console search with '*' (star), meaning 'match of any character(s)' as wild card doesn't work.
Steps to Reproduce:
Go to : System > Licenses > QlikView Server > Assigend CALs > Press the "Manage Users" icon. Insert * in the "Search for Users and Groups", press the search icon.
This has been reviewed by R&D and decided as working as designed.
The error messages reported when you try doing a wildcard search are already very explanatory: "The Search criteria was too general. Narrow the criteria to get a result" explains to the user that doing such a wildcard search is not an option.
Searching after a* or *z will work as will searching partial strings, but searching for everything using a wildcard is not do-able.
