QlikView Server events are recorded by the Windows Application log.

Example:

The description for Event ID x00 in Source "QlikViewServer" cannot be found.
Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer, or the installation is corrupted.
You can install or repair the component on the local computer...The following information was included with the event:..

Resolution:

All log entries in the QlikView Server Events log will show up in the Windows Application log. Windows does not recognize our events and that is why the text "The description for Event ID x00 in Source "QlikViewServer" cannot be found...." is shown. But the log entry from QlikView Server Events log should always be included further down in the Application log.

We log on three different levels depending on the log verbosity level set in the QlikView server:

ID 300 = Error
ID 500 = Warning
ID 700 = Information

Since ID 700 are information entries, it is expected that there will be many of these when using Debug logging.

Note: Event ID 700 from source QlikViewServer cannot be found indicates that Windows does not know how to interpret the message. This by itself is not an error. The actual log file to review the message can be found in C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikviewServer\.
