When using a Leased License, the Interface Language pop-up may appear, although a language has been previously selected.
This occurs when running QlikView Desktop in a batch mode situation
The symptom occurs every 28th day
Further investigation indicates the language setting stored in the settings.ini file is lost, when the issue occurs.
This issue is experienced when you lease a license and has a batch job running a silent reload.
A license lease must be renewed towards a QlikView Server within a 30 day period .When the license lease has expired, all settings get reset to the personal edition if you have not managed to renew your license before the 30 days.
This is As Expected. A Leased License will expire if not renewed with a QlikView Server. This will reset QlikView Desktop to Personal Edition, which will also reset the language setting in settings.ini, making the Interface Language pop-up dialog appear.
It is not best practice to use QlikView Desktop in batch mode situations where the Desktop has a Leased License, but rather reload applications using QlikView Server Reload Engine and/or QlikView Publisher.
