Qlikview - Export to Excel Not Getting Correct Format When Using Custom Duration Format: d:h:mm
Article Number: 000003097 | Last Modified: 2018/06/12
The chart in the QVW has a custom duration format of "d:hh:mm" in some fields (note the D at the beginning) and this displays just fine in QlikView.
However when the document is exported to Excel, Excel interprets the format as "[h]:mm:ss" which is incorrect.
Excel sees the interval format as an hour of the day rather than a time interval, thus negative interval is seen in Excel as ############ or -1.5628472254573
This is a limitation in Excel. Negative Date/times do not work the same way in Excel as they do in Qlikview.
This has been determined by R&D to be working as designed.
1. Export to CSV and bring into Excel. Though the negative is seen as text and not a number.
2. Export the negative date/time as a simple negative number (for example: -54 instead of -0:54:00)
