Resolution

Identify if the user has been marked as inactive.

If this has happened to the Root Admin, then a second admin will still be active. Sense will attempt to not disable all available root admins. Should you not know the credentials of the remaining administrator, please contact Qlik Support.

  1. Open the Qlik Sense Management Console with an active Qlik Sense administrator account. Default: https://<QPS server name>/qmc
  2. Navigate to Users
  3. Locate the User and review if the user is flagged to
    Inactive status true/yes
    Remove externally
    status true/yes

Resolution:

Steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Find out whether this behaviour is intentional. The user may have been deleted in Active Directory or otherwise intentionally set to inactive. See Inactivating users for details.
  2. If not intentional, can the user still be fetched by the current UDC? The LDAP filter may not match he requirements to fetch the user (meaning the user is no longer being returned) or the user configured in the User Directory Connector does not have adequate permissions.

A common cause is the customization or addition of an LDAP Filter that does not match the specified required attributes for retrieving that user. (i.e. Group Membership, domain, etc).
