Note: Configurable ODBC cannot be used as an authentication method. It allows QlikView to access a user repository, but any authentication needs to be configured in a third party sign-on method.

This document outlines the steps needed to set up a simple Configurable ODBC DSP in QlikView's Directory Service Connector using either Mircrosoft SQL Server, Excel or Oracle workbook as the data source.

The attached zip file contains a very simple Microsoft SQL Server database, ORACLE and an Excel workbook, either of which may be used as a data source for the Configurable ODBC.  Also contained in the zip file is a document, SettingUpConfigurableODBCDSP.docx, which outlines the steps to configure a connection to the above resources and test the configuration.

Please note, it does not go into setting up an interface to authenticate users or any additional coding that may be required.
