Developers opening the Qlik NPrinting Designer receive the error:

The current user could not be authenticated

Environment:

Qlik NPrinting

Resolution:

There are two possible root causes for this issue.

Verify that the NPrinting user account affected has a valid Active Directory Domain inserted.
  1. Open the Qlik NPrinting admin console
  2. Locate the affected user
  3. Verify that their Domain account is currently set up (See fig 1)

    Fig 1Fig 1

  4. The affected user needs to clear the browser cache (cached login credentials)
  5. Restart the affected user's browser
  6. Log in to NPrinting again using Windows Authentication and log out again browser cache
  7. If SAML is used, verify SAML authentication

Verify if the cookie.prefix value was changed
  1. Check the app.conf in C:\ProgramData\NPrinting\webconsoleproxy for the lines:
    #The session cookie prefix.
    cookie.prefix=NPWEBCONSOLE
  2. if the cookie.prefix is changed from the default value above, uncomment or change it back to the default.
