You are unable to see folders, documents, performance, logging, security or alerts tabs in QlikView Management Console.

Only the General and Login tab are available.

Environment

Resolution

  1. Verify that no user and password are entered in the Login tab.
    1. Open the QlikView Management Console
    2. Navigate to the QlikView server seeing the issues
    3. Click on the Login tab
    4. If credentials are present, remove them and Apply the settings.
  2. Verify that the QlikView service account has full permissions to its C:\ProgramData\QlikTech folder and all files within.
  3. Re-apply the license and reset the QlikView Server folder. Note! This will clear all configuration settings and CAL assignments and requires the system to be licensed again. Only recommended for new installs.
    1. Stop the QlikView Server service
    2. In a Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\ProgramData\QlikTech
    3. Rename the QlikViewServer directory
    4. Start the QlikView Server Service
    5. This will create a new directory.
    6. Verify if the settings are available. If so:
    7. Stop the QlikView Server service
    8. From the renamed QlikViewServer directory, cop the CALData.pgo and Settings.ini and copy it into the new folder
    9. Start the QlikView Server service
  4. Alternatively, if the previous option does not work:
    1. Stop all QlikView services
    2. In a Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\ProgramData\
    3. Rename the QlikTech directory
    4. Start the QikView services
    5. This will create a new directory.
    6. Verify if the settings are available. If so:
    7. Stop the QlikView Server service
    8. From the renamed QlikViewServer directory, cop the CALData.pgo and Settings.ini and copy it into the new folder
    9. Start the QlikView Server service
