Qlik Alerting and Gmail: Internal Server Error - Application Specific Password needed

Configuring Gmail as SMPT for Qlik Alerting, an error is returned:

Internal Server Error

Google's SMTP requests an Application Password. In Gmail, Two-steps authentications is enabled.

Resolution

When 2-Step authentication is enabled, you will need to generate a password for certain applications. You will use that password in place of the regular one. This is a process by Gmail which you can follow here: Sign in with App Passwords
