Qlik software and temporary files - Can they be safely removed?

Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows or QlikView may create .tmp files in shared locations or locations where data is being reloaded. 

These files are cleaned up by Qlik automatically. 

If cleanup fails, this is often due to read/write errors or other tools locking the files during the cleanup process, such as AntiVirus software. See Qlik Sense Folder And Files To Exclude From Anti-Virus Scanning  for details on what folders to consider. 

The files can be safely removed.
