A secondary node was unintentionally set up as a failover candidate and has claimed the Central Node role.

How can we revert back to the original Central Node?

Environment:

Qlik Sense Enterprise for Windows, any

Resolution:

  • Turn off the current Central Node (the Rim node which has claimed Central) for 10 minutes. The original Central Node will reclaim its role.
  • If ten minutes is too long, change that time-out by following Change Central Node Failover Timeout
  • Once the Central Node role is reset, remove the second node from the QMC, and uninstall/reinstall to remove the failover flag.
