NPrinting: File size of generated PDF reports has become extremely large from February 2019 version

Description:

The problem occurs ehen a user generates an existing report with the quality as 'very high'. The generated PDF file has become extremely large after the February 2019 version. E.g  a file that was 7 MB  before, can become over 75 MB.

Environment:

• Qlik NPrinting  February 2019 to June 2020

Cause:

The problem is due to a defect in a third party software embedded in NPrinting.
A fixed version of this software was added to the September 2020 version (id OP-8612)

Resolution:
Upgrade to NPrinting 2020 September or to a higher version.
Please, note:  'very high' is still expected to generate large files, even with the fix, because this setting is expected to produce high-resolution results. Higher than in older versions of Qlik NPrinting.
If the file is too high, please lower the quality to an acceptable compromise.
