The QlikView Events log contains warning:
Warning Server: OpenDocEx_impl: Re-throwing after CAL check!
This warning can be caused the CalData.pgo file being inaccessible when a user attempts to open a QVW file on the AccessPoint. This warning will often be preceded in the QVS Event logs by entry
Information CAL allocation: No Named CAL assigned to user "DOMAIN\USERNAME" - usage denied.
Environment:
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows
Potential causes include:
- File lock on the QVS Root folder
- QVS is unable to access the CalData.pgo file due to network latency issues or file server latency issues
- Malformed .PGO files in the QVS Root folder
Resolution:
Potential resolutions include:
- Ensure that the .PGO files stored in the Root folder are always accessible to the QlikView Server Service (QVS).
- Ensure that there are no malformed .PGO files in the Root folder. If there are, delete them.
- Ensure that the QlikView files and directories are excluded from anti-virus and real-time scanning software as indicated in Qlik Support article Antivirus exclusions in Qlik product deployments.
- If the previous actions do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to recreate the .PGO files in the Root Folder by following the Qlik Support article How to recreate out of sync or corrupt CAL data
