When testing a new implementation or preparing for migration or an upgrade, a test license is required to carry out pre-production tests and user acceptance testing.

Limitations of test, trial, and development licenses:

  • No Multi-Cloud attributes included
  • Unable to authenticate Qlik Sense Desktop clients
  • Unable to lease licenses to QlikView Desktop clients

Obtaining a subscription-based test license:

In a Qlik Sense Enterprise User Model Site Subscription as well as Qlik Sense Enterprise Client-Managed Subscription with a "Production" Signed License Key, 1 additional TEST and 1 additional DEVELOPMENT license keys are included in the subscription entitlement of this Production license and will be delivered with the initial license email.

If the key has not automatically been delivered, please contact Qlik Support.

Obtaining a legacy on-premise test licenses:

  • Approach your Account Manager or Qlik Sense Sales team. They will be able to provide you with a test license with an agreed-on time limit
  • For new customers, contact our sales department for assistance. Click Contact Sales.
  • If you are uncertain about how to contact your Account Manager or your Sales Team, Qlik Support will be happy to assist you.

A time-limited Test License will look as follows in the LEF:

12345678912345678
PRODUCTLEVEL;50;;2020-12-01
TIMELIMIT;VALUE;;2020-01-01
TOKENS;3;;
AAAA-BBBB-CCCC-DDDD-DDDD

This Qlik Sense LEF contains 3 tokens and it will be valid until 2020-01-01

You can obtain your LEF as per How to request a control number and LEF, or contact Qlik Support through chat if you need to verify any values.

I am planning a performance testing and would like to test concurrent user scenario with for example 100 licenses. Is it possible that we can allow some test licenses for this testing?

Hi @a3697888 ! If there are the right conditions, we are happy to provide test licenses.
Please, reach out to your account manager to discuss the details about that. Thanks!
