The QMC hangs when attempting to open Documents > User Documents > and expanding the list of documents.
A spinning loading wheel is shown for a very long time until a timeout is reached.
Environment:
QlikView
When clicking into the User Documents section, the Management Console attempts to scan the Mounted Folders. As of such, any file system issues in the mounted folders may cause the system to stall.
To rule out the file system, we will remove the mounted folders.
- Stop the QlikView services.
- Navigate to C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\QlikViewServer and locate the settings.ini.
- Backup the file.
- Open the original settings.ini file and locate:
DocumentMounts="user docs","\\dc1\Share\Front-end\UserDocuments",1;
- Remove the line. This will remove all references to User Document mounts.
- Start the QlikView services.
- Open the QMC and navigate to User Documents. If this now works, we will begin re-adding the mounts.
- Go to Setup > System > QVS @ YourServer > Folders
- In this section, begin re-adding the mounts exactly as before, using the backup of the settings.ini file as a guide. Do this one by one and periodically check if you can still access the User Documents.
