In this article, we cover how to check the version of bundled extensions as well as third-party extensions.
Environment
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows any version
In order to check the version of an extension you have to:
- Go to the extension folder in the ServiceCluster Extensions folder, for example:
\\dc1\share\qliksense\StaticContent\Extensions\qlik-on-demand-reporting
- Open the .qext file in the above folder path
- Verify the version (and close the file to ensure it is not locked before taking the next steps):

If you are experiencing issues with extensions not loading correctly after a product upgrade:
Prompting an upgrade for Bundled Extensions
- Open the Qlik Sense Management Console
- Go to Extensions
- Select the Extension
- Click Delete
- Restart the Qlik Sense repository service, it will recreate the extension from the dashboard bundle with the newest version.
Upgrading Third-Party Extensions:
- Follow the steps provided by the Third-Party Extension provider
