QlikView Containers: search magnifying glass disappear before you can write the search string

Add a list box to a container.
When one clicks on the magnifying glass to do a search in the list box, the search box closes before the search string can be written. Sometimes it is possible to write some letters, sometimes the search box disappears immediately.

The problem may not always happen, but it is really common, especially if the list box contains many values.

Environment:

Cause:

The cause is a software defect (QV-18656).

Resolution:

This problem reproducible only with listboxes in containers. The best workaround is to move the listbox outside the container.
The defect is fixed in QlikView 12.50 and higer releases: an upgrade is recommended to completely resolve the problem. NOTE: it might be necessary to remove the last document state on affected documents after upgrading.
