When using QlikView and IIS, it could happen that for some big and/or complex documents the users face an Internal Server Error the first time the application is loaded into memory. If they do a refresh of the browser or if the application is already loaded they will not face this issue.

Environment:

The user faces an Internal Server Error and you can see errors 500 on the IIS logs as well as timeout on the http call on the Windows logs for the IIS as below:

The description for Event ID 1309 from source ASP.NET 4.0.30319.0 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

3001

Resolution

Increase execution timeout.

  1. Open the IIS Manager
  2. Locate the WebSite QlikView is installed in.
  3. Open the Configuration editor.

  4.  Select the section: system.web/httpRuntime and modify the executionTimeout

  5. Restart IIS

Hi @Albert_Candelario ,

Thank you for sharing this. Do we need to Restart the WebServer machine after the changes?
