Description:

Once the NP designer software is installed, before you can 'create' and or 'edit existing' NPrinting reports via the NPrinting template editor, you need to:

  • Ensure you have been granted an NPrinting security role by your NPrinting administrator such as 'Developer'.
  • Next, login to the NPrinting the web console, then click the 'create report' or 'edit template' button to enable the NPrinting Template editor via the NP designer software that was manually installed on each designer user's computer. 
  • Note: Clicking the 'Edit' or 'Create Report' button does NOT install the NPrinting designer. It must be installed manually as described in the link found in the description above before an NPrinting report can be created or edited via the NPrinting Designer Template Editor.

Related Issue:

  • When clicking the 'create report' or 'edit template' button, nothing happens and the NPrinting Designer does not appear.
  • This is due to the NPrinting Designer not being installed as per the points above.
