Error when generating a report from NPrinting On-demand on QlikView

The On-demand add-on has been installed on all QlikView (QVWS) web servers.

On-demand button shows up on the dashboards. NPrinting dialogue box comes,

Able to navigate to 'Generate Report' page, click 'Generate Report', an error is generated in the On Demand reporting window

Alternate login page (web form) is configured in the QlikView QMC

Environments:

Qlik NPrinting platform used with supported versions of QlikView for On Demand reporting

 

When use of "alternate login page" option in the QMC/Web Server authentication settings tab is used, this will cause On Demand to fail and not work as expected. (See image below)

Furthermore, On Demand requires NTLM authentication by default.

Resolution:

• Consider migrating your QVWS server to a QV Access point with IIS where JWT can be leveraged with NPrinting.
• Using JWT configuration will enable certificate based authentications to be used in conjunction with NTLM authentication
