Can't export full table to PDF or PowerPoint in NPrinting

Cannot export a full table to PDF or PowerPoint. Objects are cut or split when exporting to PDF or PowerPoint.

Example

A table with 48 rows and 11 columns needs to be exported to PDF and to PowerPoint.
But only what fits on the screen is being printed, which may be only 20 rows at a time.

This results in cut pdf files and cut stories.

Environment

Qlik NPrinting
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows

Cause

When Qlik Sense exports an object which has more data than the screen can show, then the exported documented (e.g. PDF or Powerpoint) will show only a screenshot of this object and not the data of the entire object.

Resolution

A workaround is possible.

Qlik Sense automatically optimizes the layout of charts according to the space that it is given to them in the sheet. So charts containing many bars or rows are not completely shown in the sheet.

By default, Qlik Sense charts exported into Qlik NPrinting will look exactly as they do in the connected Qlik Sense app, but it is possible to set the size you give to the cart to be shown in Qlik Sense before it is imported into the template setting the Data Displayed Width (px) and Data Displayed Height (px).

If you set high values for you can import the entire chart in NPrinting or a larger part of it.

Notice that we have a limitation on the max size. The parameter cannot be set to more than 3000 px.

It is possible to increase this parameter, but it is necessary to modify these two rows in the engine.config file and this is not supported:

<!-- max image dimensions rendered supported by CEF, the final image is upscaled to produce the correct dimensions -->
    <!--
    <add key="webrenderer-max-image-width-px" value="3000" />
    <add key="webrenderer-max-image-height-px" value="3000" />
    -->
