Some tasks will fail on your QlikView Server installation when the Directory Service Connection (DSC) is not working anymore, you will find some errors of this type in the Distribution Service logs :
QDSMain.Exceptions.DistributeToResourcesFailedException: Distribute to resource failed.
Tasks will show as failed in the QMC.

Recreate the DSC connection and provide the credentials again in the QMC under "System" -> "Setup" -> "Directory Service Connectors".
Cause:
The configured DSC connection is not functioning anymore, the most common reason will be that the credentials provided for the connection are not valid anymore (Password expired/changed, account is locked or disabled etc...), you will find similar errors in the DSC Service logs, task related to the impacted directory will fail due to user not being synced :
