Qlik Sense error 502 - Web service received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server

Accessing Qlik Sense (Hub or Management Console) leads to the following error:

502 - Web service received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server

This may specifically happen in an environment hosted by Azure, but has been observed independent of Azure as well. 


Environment:

Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows 

This is due to Gateway/Proxy which has a default timeout of few seconds, for example, 20 seconds and the duplication of some apps cannot finish with that time. If the request sends takes more than 20 seconds this error will be returned.

Resolution:

The solution is to raise the timeout in Azure Application Gateway settings.
