When using #standardSQL
before a query with QlikView Google BigQuery Connector (QvBigQueryConnector.exe), the connector fails with the following error:Connector reply error: QVX_UNKNOWN_ERROR: Google.Apis.Requests.RequestError
1.50 - 1.50: No query found.
Errors [Message[1.50 - 1.50: No query found.] Location[parameters.q - ] Reason[invalidQuery] Domain[global]]
QvBigQueryConnector is unable to handle the line break character after #standardSQL
. This is similar to the issue with Google BigQuery connector (Qlik Web Connectors) before version 2.2.0,which is discussed in this article
. The connector sends the whole query as a single line, therefore character # in the prefix #standardSQL
affects the whole query.
Instead of QvBigQueryConnector, consider using Google BigQuery connector, which is part of Qlik ODBC Connector Package. This connector provides the possibility to select the language dialect to either Legacy SQL or Standard SQL. The package can be downloaded and installed free of charge from Qlik download site.
QvBigQueryConnector is anyway a deprecated connection of QlikView, which is currently replaced by Google BigQuery connector. Using Qlik ODBC Connector should therefore be the long-term solution.
