The folder C:\ProgramData\NPrinting\apps is growing  fast and is filling up the disk

The error printed is:

------------
error: "Failed generation of report xxxxx for user xxxx. Error: Pipelining of requests forbidden"
-----------

Environment

NPrinting can only be installed on the C: drive and folders cannot be changed.

When publishing reports to NewsStand or from On Demand executions, the reports are saved by default in C:\ProgramData\NPrinting\apps

With a large number of users receiving published reports stored in Newsstand or On-Demand requests, the contents of the apps folder can grow and can lead to full disk issues. If published reports are stored to a custom folder destination on the c:\drive, this too will consume drive space on the NPrinting server.

Note regarding backup files that can be removed:

Backup files stored in c:\nprintingbackups or c:\programdata\nprinting can be safely removed or moved.

Resolution

It is not possible to move the folder C:\ProgramData\NPrinting\apps to an external drive or network location. As such, do not change the "apps" folder's location as it will break NPrinting and further this would make upgrading impossible.

To ensure disk space is sufficient, use monitoring tools such as Windows Performance Monitor and monitor 'disk' counters and send alerts using these tools to warn of disk space capacity issues.
Increase disk space as needed as your requirements grow and as per alerts sent from your monitoring tools.

Note: There is no current NPrinting road map to allow the 'Apps' folder to be moved to a different drive location. To add your voice to this feature request, please enter your 'idea' here: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Suggest-an-Idea/idb-p/qlik-ideas
