The NPrinting user accounts have been mapped to the respective Windows AD user accounts in NPrinting User Configuration.

However, when clicking the NPrinting Windows Authentication button to log into NPrinting, this results in a second login request prompt (Fig 1).

Possible Causes

  • Internet options must be configured to allow domain security access to the NP server computer.
  • The use of the FQDN (fully qualified domain name) for the NPrinting Server results in a second login screen and the solution above resolves the issue.

Resolution

  1. Log into the NP server with the NPrinting service account
  2. Open Internet Explorer Internet Options
  3. Select the Security tab
  4. From there, select Local intranet the click Sites
  5. Click the Advanced button
  6. In the local intranet screen add your QlikView server address or Qlik sense Proxy Address, such as https://qliksenserver.domain.local. See the image below.

  7. Close all the screen and refresh your web browser and click the blue NPrinting logon button again.
  8. Should this not help, you may also need to edit the Custom Level of your Security Settings for the Local Intranet zone.
    1. Open Internet Explorer Internet Options
    2. Select the Security tab
    3. From there, select Local intranet the click Custom Level
    4. Set it to Automatic logon with current user name and password.

Note:  It is not possible to bypass the Windows login (or a custom SAML login screen for NPrinting)
Logging through the logon prompt screen must be performed before the NP web console can be access. There is no feature to disable the NPrinting Web Console log in prompt screen.
