Verifying a connection between NPrinting and a Qlik Sense Engine fails.

The step The "Identity" and the Qlik Nprinting Engine service account are a Windows domain user is indicated as failed.

Identity and the Qlik NPrinting service account are a windows domain user.png

Environment:

Qlik NPrinting
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows

Resolution:

Qlik NPrinting required ports and Active Directory Communications ports must not be blocked.

  1. Are both servers part of the same domain?
  2. Is the user a Domain user? See Dedicated NPrinting Server & Engine Service Account Configuration for requirements.
  3. Are the required NPrinting Ports available? See Ports
  4. Are the general required authentication ports available? This is necessary so that the NP server can validate Windows NT/AD domain users. Please check with your infrastructure/firewall/security team to ensure that AD communications ports are not blocked. If they are blocked, please open accordingly and retest your NPrinting Connection verification.

NOTE: Office 365 / Azure AD is not yet supported. Traditional Active Directory Client-Server authentication is valid for use with Qlik NPrinting.
