Try opening the URL for the web file in the default internet browser, if the URL you're using to connect to the web file doesn't work in a browser, it's not going to work in QlikView. QlikView will use whatever browser is set as the Windows default so test there. If you open the URL and you get prompted to enter a username and password, you have two options:
- Change the URL to have the necessary CSV file be able to be downloaded either without the need for a username and password
- Have the necessary credentials in the URL to keep the dialogue box from appearing when the URL is accessed.
QlikView doesn't have any method to manually enter credentials so they need to be in the URL
If you get a pop-up that states browser security won't allow file download, the customer will need to lower the browser security settings to allow the file to be downloaded. When properly accessed, you should see the data within the CSV file in the browser. These changes can be made in QlikView Desktop before moving to server. Use this information in conjunction with other existing articles regarding issues when trying to access web files in QlikView 12.
