QlikView displays error when viewing or creating a new task: Index was out of range.

When viewing or editing tasks, the QlikView Management Console displays the following error (Fig 1):

Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index.

Environments:

QlikView 12.10 and up
 
 
The issue might be related to an incorrectly applied license. The license will need to be updated. 

Resolution

 
Before carrying on with any steps, ensure to have the PGO files and files backed up. you do any changes, make sure to back up the PGO files as well as QVPR

 

Steps:

  1. Open the QlikView Management Console
  2. Go to System
  3. Open the Licenses tab
  4. Navigate to QlikView Server QVS@yournode and QlikView Publisher QMS@yournode and click Update License From Server on each.
  5. Restart the QlikView Management Service.
