SAML authentication not working any more after upgrade from Qlik Sense 3.0.x to 3.2.x or later

In some occurrences, it happens that SAML authentication stops working after upgrade from Qlik Sense 3.0.x to 3.2.x or later.
The exact cause for this issue is not clear, however it seems that IDP metadata information can get corrupted in Qlik Sense during an upgrade from version 3.0.x.
Reuploading the IDP metadata on the virtual proxy and apply usually helps solving this issue.
