QlikView 12 interprets texting strings containing letter "T" as number. For example a text string is '14401019T000100' in the data source is loaded as -167,717.99930556.
This does not happen in QlikView 11.20 or earlier.
From QlikView 12, timestamp recognition feature of QlikView was extended to cover more varieties of timestamp format. Therefore, QlikView 12 interprets the string "14401019T000100
" as 1440/10/19 00:01:00 (19 Oct 1440, 1:00 AM).
For example, the following expression: =Num(Timestamp#('14401019T000100','YYYYMMDDThhmmss'))
returns the same numeric value -167,717.99930556
, which corresponds to the timestamp 1440/10/19 00:01:00.
In order to avoid this unexpected interpretation, a solution is to explicitly convert fields containing values like xxxxTyyyy
into text using Text()
function in the load script.
