When loading text fields from data sources, QlikView 12 interprets text values containing a letter "T" as numbers. For example , the text '16501019T000100' is interpreted as -91,016.999305556
From QlikView 12, timestamp recognition feature of QlikView was extended and QlikView tries to convert text values containing letter "T" as timestamps. For example, the string "16501019T000100" is interpreted as 1650/10/19 00:01:00 (19 Oct 1650, 1:00 AM).
This can be verified with the following expression:
This returns the same numeric value -91,016.999305556 , which is the numeric representation of timestamp 1650/10/19 00:01:00.
In order to avoid this unexpected interpretation, a solution is to explicitly convert fields containing xxxxTyyyy values into text using Text() function in the load script. See the attached qvw document for an example.
