Monitoring Apps: License Monitor and Operations Monitor fail when reloading with the following error in the script:

Error: QVX_UNEXPECTED_END_OF_DATA: HTTP protocol error 401 (Unauthorized):
'NTLM,Negotiate' authentication schema provided by the web-service is not supported or your credentials are not valid.
Execution Failed
Execution finished.

Environment:

Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows

Resolution:

Verify if:

  • The Credentials for the User running the reload are correct - re-enter the Username in format DOMAIN\Username and Password in the Qlik Management Console in section Data Connections for all the monitor_rest_* connections.
  • The Connection URL and Trusted Location URL for the Connection in the Data Connection Editor in the Data Load Editor are entered correct. Check if the Fully Qualified Domain Name is  used instead of localhost. This error indicates that the wrong authentication protocol might have been used. Therefore check if the Connection URL and Trusted Location URL are http or https. Change accordingly to the settings in the Qlik Management Console.
  • Kerberos Authentication is used in the Central proxy - Qlik Management Console/Proxies/Central/Edit Proxy/Ports - tickbox "Kerberos Authentication" See HTTP protocol error 401 Monitoring Apps or other app reloads fails with Kerberos Authentication in Q... .
