User Document settings are reverted back to default or the previous value

Document specific settings applied to the QlikView file in the User Documents tab are reverted back to the previous value.

If the QlikView Server has a licensed Publisher, and changes are made in the User Documents directly (as seen below), then it is likely that the new values will be reverted after an apparently arbitrary amount of time.

Example:
The Server Objects are being disallowed by unchecking the box, or Exporting to Excel is disabled on the document level. After a while, the settings apparently revert back to the previous one.

Cause:

Any settings applied to individual User Documents will be overwritten once the Source Document is being reloaded and distributed.

The settings in the Source Document needs to be changed since the reload creates a new document that overwrites the old one, and replaces or overwrites settings in the relevant .META file.

Resolution:

Document specific settings should always be applied in the Source Documents instead, rather than the User Documents.
