Work stream not visible in Qlik Sense's Hub

When users log in to the hub, they cannot see the "Work" stream, despite the fact the they should be allowed to create apps.

As background, the "Work" Stream is an alias for unpublished apps which a given user has read rights on or is enabled when the user has create rights for apps.

 

Environment:

Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows 

 

If the user does not have read rights on existing unpublished apps, then the Work stream requires app creation rights.

The two causes of this are due to the node purpose, which disabled app creation, and security rules.

Resolution:

 

  1. Ensure that the default rule CreateApp is enabled (or a replacement which enabled app creation)
  2. Set the Node's purpose to Both.
