- The Expression Editor is unavailable
- Script Editor is not displayed
- The expression editor or script editor do not open.
- Windows may appear to stall when trying to open them.
In this case, the pop-out windows for the editors may be too small or be out of bounds of the visible screen.
Resolution:
Move the window / Resize
With the script window or editor active, you can use the Windows shortcut "Win + Up Arrow" to maximize the window or "Win + Right Arrow or Left Arrow" to move the window. See Windows Shortcuts for more details.
Re-create the Qlik user profile
You can re-create the profile to revert to the original settings.
- Log in with the user who is affected and go to the user folder C:\Users\USERNAME
- Navigate to AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView for instance: C:\Users\XYZ\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView
- Remove the QlikView folder or rename it, a new profile with the default settings will be created
- Restart the QlikView Client
